BWAZ Mental Health Support Group

Our "Why"

The average cost of mental health counseling for individuals is around $120 per session.

For uninsured, underinsured, or low-income women, $120 can be a big expense. BWAZ created this service because we want to provide women in the community with access to the proper support that they need.

Imagine not being able to take care of your mental health because of cost. This pandemic and social climate have shown us all that our mental health is no longer an option, but a requirement.

If you've been putting off getting the support you need for your mental health, we welcome you to join us to start healing our community, one woman at a time.

Prioritizing Your Mental Health

Holding Hands

For less than $35 a week, you'll receive:

  • Weekly virtual support from a licensed mental health therapist for six weeks

  • A private community with other women to talk about your current struggles

  • Healthy coping skills

  • & much more!

Valued at $600+

You're in the right place if:

  •   If you've thought about getting mental health support but didn't think it was possible for you because of cost.

  • If you find yourself "suffering in silence" because you don't have anyone to talk to without fear of being shamed or judged.

  • If you're wondering if you're the only one that feels the same way that you do.

  • If you find yourself getting triggered about certain issues and  not sure how to properly process those feelings.

  • If you feel like no one sees you or that you're having to constantly "hide in plain sight."

This is NOT for you if:

  •   If you don't feel like you need mental health support.

  • If you're not ready to let go of the "strong black woman" narrative.

  • If you're not willing to commit to this program for 6 weeks (6 sessions) because you're "too busy."

  • If you're not ready to take off the mask that you're hiding behind.

  • If you feel like mental health support is  only for "sad" or "crazy" people
