About

The Black of Arizona was created by Phay Dee, a Florida native who moved here all alone without any knowledge of the  was born and raised in Palm Beach, Fl and moved to Litchfield Park, Arizona in 2015. Moving across the country without family or friends to brand new territory was a challenge. After moving to the Phoenix area in 2016, she realized that she may not be alone in this challenge. It was at this moment that the Black Women of Arizona was birthed.

Since 2016, she has hosted numerous events all throughout the valley from Buckeye to Queen Creek. She has also assisted and coordinated community service efforts as well. This has provided women from all over to connect and network with each other.

Friendships created, networking opportunities made, and all of a sudden, Arizona wasn't as big as it once as. With so many exciting things planned for the future of BWA, this Queen is just getting started!

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
